Garaventa AG is part of the Doppelmayr/Garaventa Group and is the quality, technology and market leader in the field of transport systems and ropeway construction with production sites as well as sales and service branches in more than 35 countries around the world. Within this group, Garaventa AG is the competence center for aerial tramways and funiculars. Goldau is the main production site in Switzerland with over 260 employees. Other service and production sites are located in Sion and Uetendorf.

The word safety is written very large at Garaventa AG. As the global market leader for transport and ropeway systems, we bear a high level of responsibility for our products. This is also the reason why we have such a high degree of in-house production. When the procurement of a new milling center was pending in 2008, there were various criteria that were decisive for the evaluation of the machine. Reiden Technik AG was able to meet our high requirements with the REIDEN BFR24 without any problems. On the BFR24, we manufacture, among other things, travel drive rockers, travel drive boxes, bearing blocks, hangers and machine base frames for ropeway, passenger and material transport systems.

With a work area of 4,000 x 1,200 x 1,500 mm and an enlarged work area enclosure, nothing more stood in the way of our large-scale production. The three pallet stations and the large tool magazine with 120 places also enabled us to set up workpieces during machining. We can work in shifts without any problems and thus increase our productivity. We are not only very satisfied with the machining center, but also with Reiden Technik AG as a partner.
